To encourage different types of organizations in the country for more use of IT, BASIS and SEDF jointly announced the ‘Best IT Users Award-2004’. The award has been handed over to the Executive Director of Ambee pharma in a grant gala evening at Bangladesh China conference center hall at the 4th day of SOFTEXPO2004.

Ambee Pharma is using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Software Solution, which is a product of Millennium Information Solution Limited. Millennium has built this software using Open Source technology and platform that made the product scalable and versatile.

The Executive Director of Ambee Ms. Nourin Aziz believes that by using this software the organizational culture of Ambee has improved significantly. “The top management feels comfortable to make decision as they are getting all the information just after a process occurred” she added.

“Based on distributed, configurable architecture and open source technologies this application covers all the major workflows of a pharmaceutical company including Distribution, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounts, Manufacturing, Human Resource and Commercial with a total integration” told Millennium’s CEO Mr. Mahmud Hossain. He said by adding the fact that more and more pharmaceutical companies would be realizing the need for total process automation and would try to adapt such ERP in Bangladesh in near future through this award ceremony of SEDF and BASIS.
