The City Bank Limited signed a contract with Millennium Information Solution Ltd (Millennium) for Implementation & Support of Shariah based Islamic Online Banking Solution – “Ababil” on 20th October. The objective of Ababil is to manage all operations of Shariah based Online Islamic Banking of the City Bank. Millennium will also do integration between existing conventional banking foreign software for any branch banking facility with Ababil.

Ababil is one of the most proven and field tested Shariah based Islamic Banking software products in Bangladesh. This new generation Islamic Banking application of Millennium is on-line and fully integrated and its previous version is running in 158 branches of the biggest Islamic Bank in Bangladesh.

In the contract signing ceremony, Millennium’s CEO Mr. Mahmud Hossain said, “Millennium is happy to have another partner in Islamic Shariah Based Banking Solution with a leading bank like City Bank Ltd.” He thanked City Bank to give Millennium the opportunity to participate in their Islamic Shariah based automation efforts.

Mr. AHM Nazmul Quadir and Mr. AE Abdul Muhaimen, DMD of City Bank were present in the contract signing ceremony. Millennium CTO Mr. Fokhruz Zaman, Head of US Operations Mr. Shaheen Hossain, and Sr. Biz Development Officer Mr. Zakir Hossain also attended the ceremony.
